After a stellar sellout preview screening, The Dark Lurking is finally cruising the mean streets of Australia with the awesome support of Supanova — Popculture Expo (www.supanova.com.au), EVENT Cinemas and Hoyts Australia. The Dark Lurking will be touring with a theatrical release through Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

The Dark Lurking is a fun B-grade sci-fi horror flick that delivers on a whole bunch of amusing things to tickle the film viewing taste buds of the sci-fi horror enthusiast (.....or basically anyone looking for a cheap thrill) by providing exploding Rabids (zombie-ish type creatures that are just born to get shot and bleed), tough-ass dudes with guns and some weird smokey alien possession - all in the backdrop of space.

The Dark Lurking is the first feature film production from Australian Production Company FILMWERX 77 leading hot on the trail of their win at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival - Best Action Short. The film is  entirely shot in Queensland, Australia and is written and directed by Greg Connors. The Dark Lurking is Greg's debut feature film.

SYNOPSIS - What's it all about....
2017: Something has gone terribly wrong at outpost 30, a secret international research facility one mile beneath a remote part of the Earths surface. All communications are gone, all means of escape destroyed and an extremely dangerous horde of creatures is on the loose. For eight survivors, their one possible escape route is through thirteen levels of terror that will lead them to the surface. The Dark Lurking is an adrenaline fuelled action thriller in the tradition of such horror classics as Aliens and The Evil Dead.
